Big Girl

Abby loves to paint her own finger nails. At first I was a little hesitant, but then thought why not. She actually does a pretty good job for being four.

Warm weather

We are loving the warm weather. The kids have been playing outside everyday. They enjoy riding their bikes, playing at the park, playing tag, playing soccer, flying their kites and just playing with each other.

Apron

Look at this apron I made today for Abby out of a dish towel. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Our perfect day

Yesterday was a really good day for us. Gavin was home so after we took Braden to the bus stop for school Abby and I headed to Target to get diapers for Ellie and some yummy stuff for lunch. We got home and packed a yummy lunch and we all headed to the park for a picnic and some fun in the sun.(It has finally gotten warm here) We ate our lunch and then Abby was off to play. There was another little girl at the park that she played with. Ellie napped in the stroller and Gavin and I sat on the bench enjoying ourselves. As we were walking home from the park we passed the tennis courts right in front of our house and thought how fun it would be to play tennis. So we put Ellie and Abby in the car and headed back to Target(yes going to Target more then once a day in pretty normal for me) to buy tennis rackets and balls. We got home and we only had 30 minutes until we needed to pick Braden up from the bus stop but we REALLY wanted to play tennis so we hurried over to the court with the kids and played for 20 minutes. We picked up Braden from the bus stop, took him to soccer practice, stopped and got dinner on the way home and then we decided we wanted to play tennis again. We got out the kids bikes and headed back to the tennis courts. Gavin and I played tennis, Braden and Abby rode their bikes and Ellie napped in her stroller.

It was the perfect day for us. Lots of family time, lots of fun outside and mine and Gavin's new addiction, TENNIS.

Blessings

I was sitting outside this afternoon holding Ellie on my lap and watching Braden and Abby ride their bikes in the driveway and I was thinking how blessed I am. I have three beautiful kids who I love dearly. They make me laugh, they make me cry, they even make me mad sometimes. I have a wonderful husband who cares about me and our children. I love him so much.

Some days I feel so alone living here in New York. I don't like being so far away from family, it's hard being in a very small ward, it's hard being nursery leader with a new baby. I find myself complaining about these things often. But really I should be counting my blessings and realize how blessed I really am.

She rolled

I just went to check on Ellie and this is what I saw. She had rolled to her side and fell asleep. I know such a small thing to get excited about but the small things are just as important.

Our wonderful week

My parents came to visit this past week and we sure did have a great time. Thanks mom and dad for the memories that you leave us with ever time you come to visit. We love you.
