What's new around here? Braden is still playing soccer and is doing awesome. He finished his AR (advanced reading) goal last week at school and he earned a few more merit badges for scouts. Abby also finished her AR goal in school and has become a excellent reader. She is looking forward to summer so she can swim a lot and play with her friends. Ellie is just Ellie. She is silly and loves to entertain us.
This past week we all had the stomach flu. Luckily it was a short one. My mom came into town this past week and stayed all week. It was so much fun having her here. We shopped, ate out, worked on projects, stayed up late, watched movies and just hung out. It was so much fun and as always I was sad to see her go.
Also while my mom was here we went to goodwill and we came across a cute little desk. My mom talked me into getting it and so we sanded it and primed it and painted it and it turned out really cute. It will be my new sewing desk. Thanks mom for spotting the desk and helping me get it done.
Last night for FHE we took the kids out for yogurt. The kids sat at their own table and took turns sharing bites of their yogurt. It was cute.

I love, love, love the desk!!!! I really like the rounded feet - the BEST! I am happy you updated your blog, too. I am so proud of Abby and Braden meeting their reading goals. Reading is so important for ALL students. Love your family - you are a GREAT mom!
I am happy that your mom visits and takes good care of you. Maybe I can get there during June. I would love to visit for a couple of days.
