The joys of being a Girl
Sunday morning Abby came in my room with pink foam curlers and said she really wanted curly hair for school on Monday. I thought okay no big deal. We were all sick on Sunday so I thought she could wear them all day Sunday sleep in them and wake up with beautiful curls. All went well until bed time when they kept falling out. So I took them all out and was hoping for the best, curly hair Monday morning. 6:00 am Monday morning I have this VERY sad girl at the side of my bed with REALLY straight hair. Oh no I thought. She asks if we can put the curlers back in. I jump out of bed and back in went the curlers in hope it would be curly before the bus picks her up. It worked. She went to school with curly hair and she was VERY happy. The joys of being a girl.

Halloween
Halloween was really fun this year. Friday morning Gavin, Ellie and I went to Abby's class party where we played games, made a craft, read a book and had treats. Then, we headed over to Braden's school where we went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins, read a book and had treats. In the evening we went to our friend's house and had some pizza then out the door we went. The kids had a blast. Gavin even dressed up. He was Sponge Bob. Saturday night we had our ward fall carnival. The activities committee in our ward consists of me and the bishop's wife. We worked really hard to make the carnival fun. I think it was a success. We had soup and rolls then we played games, had gunnysack races and a pie eating contest. It was a successful weekend.

Yay for fun weekends
We had a fun weekend. Between soccer games, Halloween parties and playing outside we had a full filling weekend.
Also this weekend I SCORED at old navy. On Saturday morning I headed to old navy to get Ellies Halloween costume. When I walked in the door they handed me a card that you peel and you could win $5, $15, or $50 off your purchase. I didn't open it because really I never win things like that. I grabbed Ellie's Halloween costume which was $5 and the kids each Halloween shirts which were $1 each. I headed to the check out with my small purchase and was standing in line. I decided to see if I won anything. I did. I got the $50 off my purchase. So I turned around and started shopping. I got me a sweater, Ellie a pair of pants, Abby two long sleeve shirts, Braden two long sleeve shirts, everyone a Halloween shirt and Ellie's costume and I only sent $3.38. What a great morning at Old Navy.

Quilt
During the summer at my parents house I started making a quilt for Ellie. I got it all put together then took it to the Corn Wagon in Springville so they could machine quilt it and bind it for me. My mom brought the finish product to me this week while she was here. I think it turned out amazing. I hope Ellie will just love it to death. Can't wait to start my next quilt.

Our Weekend
My parents were in town this weekend and of course as always we had a lot of fun. We went to the beaches to look for seashells, we went to quite a few pumpkin patches, we took the ferry to Connecticut, had yummy ice cream, pies and fresh fruit and veggies. It was the perfect weekend and we were really sad to see them leave. Thanks mom and dad for everything.

Simple
I have no new pictures to post and nothing REALLY exciting to post about. It was a simple but nice weekend. Braden had a soccer game on Saturday and scored TWO goals. We had lots of family time and enjoyed listening to Conference.
On a HAPPY note my parents are coming to visit this week. We are SO excited and can't wait to see them.

Who would of thought?
December 6, 2002. I was looking through pictures today and came across this picture that was taken at a ward Christmas party many years ago. I showed it to Braden and he was in awe. He actually wanted me to print it off so he could take it to school to show his teacher and friends. Don't know how well that would have gone over being that he is the only LDS member in his school. Just thought I would post a great memory of ours.
