Eyes on me

Since Braden has been in Kindergarten he has come home with all of these sayings that he has learned there. One that I think is cute but I am totally sick of it is: "1,2,3 eyes on me."

His teacher says this to the class to get their attention. After she says it the class says "1,2,3 eyes on you." It's cute and all but little miss Abby who thinks the world evolves around her runs around all day saying "1,2,3 eyes on me, 1,2,3 eyes on me." It drives me crazy. Another saying that has become a daily quote in our household is, "You get what you get and you don't get upset." This quote I can handle a little bit more. Oh the things kids remember.

Hey Jamie!

I like to check in on you once in a while! You are so cute and I love your posts! Isn't being a mom (and all the glory) just so great.

This post caought my eye. WHY? Cause these are things my son has learned in school too! "1,2,3 Eyes on me!" And my fav, "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Is the version here. I love that, I use it all the time, and the kids seem to be okay with it! Genuis!

Those quotes crack me up.
My son always grabs my cheeks and looks me in the eyes and says "focus" and he'll also tell me to "turn off my voice" when I'm singing in the car or something. Kids are great aren't they?

I love hearing Braden's teacher's management quotes!
To get my students attention (I teach 4th grade), I will say "Hear Ye! Hear Ye" and my students respond, "Listen! the Queen of everything wants to speak!" The kids really love it - and I am just cracking up laughing inside!

I love that second quote. That's one that kids DEFINITELY need to learn, right?
